A delegation from the Island of St Vincent & the Grenadines has been to High Wycombe to increase awareness of Caribbean heritage in the area. The Town has the third largest Vincentian Community in the world and St Vincent & the Grenadines, 2nd Generation (SV2G) has been visiting schools with a cultural exhibition. The group organized a series of workshops with schools across the town returning to St Vincent.
The visit followed up on links between schools in the West Indies and High Wycombe, which were started in September 2005. Jacqueline Roberts, Vice Chair of SV2G said “We have accomplished our aim of raising an awareness of Caribbean heritage and Culture”.
